Brothers & Sisters Entertainment is the parent company to four different companies. It began when Charles and Helen Harrison decided to teach their children how to play instruments.
Charles Harrison, the father of the owners C. Roc, Khaliq Bey, Re-Re Browne and Pivot, taught his children how to play a few instruments growing up into adults. He always told his children that "music is a universal language", so coming up in a musical environment, that was something that they grew to understand. With their father having his own band, playing as a freelance musician and as stars came to town and performed in area clubs, Mr. Harrison's kids were able to watch some of the legends do their thing.
For example Nat Kendricks, one of James Brown's first drummers, was Re-Re Browne's drum teacher.
As they grew, they became more and more involved in learning to play musical instruments. C. Roc plays: Lead, Rhythm and Bass Guitar, Piano, Keyboards and drums Khaliq Bey Plays: Lead, Rhythm and Bass Guitar, Keyboards, saxophone, Singer and Song Writer.
Re-Re Browne plays: Drums, Bass Guitar, Alto and Soprano Saxophone.
Pivot Plays: Rhythm Guitar
Mrs. Helen Harrison (the mother) Plays: Bass Guitar
Mr. Charles Harrison (the father) Played: Lead, Rhythm and Bass Guitar, Tenor, Alto and Soprano Saxophone and he sang!
After having a family band for many years along with local musicians coming in and out of the band, they decided to get involved in music production. They began advancing, having worked with some major artists and also began the natural progression into mixing songs. While all those things were going on, the decision was made to form a management company. Having the ability to deal in these different areas and being real life brothers and sisters, they then established the parent company Brothers & Sisters Entertainment.
